**Hey everyone! It’s been over four months since my last post – my laziness to blame! But enough of that, I’m here with an update on my life. The past November, a Facebook post on volunteering for an organization supporting blind children caught my attendtion. I saw it as a chance to not only help people with my own disability, but also demonstrate that blind people have so much to offer, not just receive. So, fueled by that, I signed up. Initially, I was assigned to teach computer skills. But soon, the leader recognized my knack for braille and I was reassigned to support children in their braille learning. A month into this new role, I’m still amazed by the experience. Being called a teacher, leading a class – all firsts for me! As a book once told me, learning from children is a priceless lesson. In my class, I meet children facing various challenges, not just blindness. Some struggle with focus, others miss the comfort of their mothers. To guide them, I’ve embraced Adlerian psychology, treating them with the same respect I give everyone else, not just children. Beyond lessons, I chat with them about their lives, getting to know each individual. By gently asking for their help or thanking them for their effort, I encourage them to practice and grow. This is more than just teaching braille – it’s a journey of learning and giving back, for both me and the children. I can’t wait to see what lies ahead in this rewarding chapter of my life!
